Pinkit Forms Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 8, 2026
Pinkit Forms ("the add-on") is a Google Forms editor add-on that uses AI to help create and edit form questions.
This Privacy Policy explains what information the add-on accesses, how that information is used, what is sent to Anthropic's Claude API, and what the add-on stores.
This policy applies to the Pinkit Forms Google Forms add-on only. Any future Pinkit Forms products will have their own applicable policies when they launch.
Information the add-on accesses
The active Google Form
The add-on uses Google's forms.currentonly permission. This allows it to work with the specific Google Form that is open when you use the add-on.
The add-on does not use this permission to access other Google Forms in your account.
The add-on adds questions to the open form, and changes, moves or deletes its questions, only after you review and confirm the change.
The questions in your form (edit feature)
When you use the "Edit my form" tab, the add-on reads the questions of the form you have open: for each question, its position, type, title and, for multiple-choice and checkbox questions, its answer choices. It also checks whether a multiple-choice answer leads to another section, so that it can leave such questions unchanged.
The add-on does not read form responses or the form's description, and does not read any other form.
Google account language
The add-on reads your Google account's display language so that its interface can be shown in the appropriate language. It does not read your name, email address or other profile information.
Content you provide
The add-on processes:
- Text you enter into the prompt field, and any extra instructions you enter.
- Text extracted from
.txtor.docxfiles that you upload. - Your instructions and recent messages in the "Edit my form" conversation (at most the last few messages, each shortened to a limited length).
The add-on does not need access to your Google Drive to process these files.
How your information is used
The information above is used only to provide the add-on's features that you ask for: generating question suggestions, extracting questions from a document you upload, and proposing changes to the open form.
The generated suggestions are returned to the add-on and shown to you for review.
Nothing is inserted into your Google Form until you choose the questions you want and explicitly click the insert button. Likewise, changes proposed in the "Edit my form" tab (adding, changing, moving or deleting questions) are applied only after you review them and confirm.
.docx files are processed within the add-on before their extracted text is sent to Claude.
Google API Services User Data Policy and Limited Use
Pinkit Forms' use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
- Google user data (the contents of the Google Form you have open) is used only to provide the add-on functionality that you explicitly request.
- It is not used for advertising, tracking, profiling, or any unrelated purpose.
- It is not sold.
- It is not transferred to third parties, except to Anthropic as described below, which is necessary to provide the AI functionality you request.
- The add-on does not store your form content, and Pinkit Forms does not use it for any purpose other than returning the result you asked for.
What is sent to Anthropic's Claude API
Anthropic is the service provider that generates the AI output you request. Content is sent to Anthropic only when you ask the add-on to generate or edit questions, and only for that purpose.
What is sent
- Generating from a description: the text you typed.
- Generating from a document: the text extracted from your
.txtor.docxfile (long documents are shortened to a size limit), the file name, and any extra instructions you typed. - Editing your form: the position, type, title and answer choices of each question in the open form, whether each question can be changed, your instruction, and your recent messages in that conversation.
The add-on does not send your name, email address or other Google account identifiers to Anthropic, and does not send form responses.
Why it is sent
So that Claude can generate the question suggestions or proposed changes that you requested.
Does Pinkit Forms store it?
No. Pinkit Forms does not store this content (see "What the add-on stores" below).
Anthropic's retention and deletion terms
Anthropic states that, by default, it does not use inputs or outputs from its commercial products, including the API, to train its models, and that it automatically deletes API inputs and outputs within 30 days. It may keep data longer where needed to enforce its usage policy or to comply with the law. Anthropic's own terms and privacy policy apply to its processing. These are Anthropic's terms, not controls operated by Pinkit Forms.
What the add-on stores
Pinkit Forms does not operate a database that stores your prompts, uploaded documents, generated questions, or form responses.
The add-on is designed not to retain user-provided content after the request has been processed.
To apply free-usage limits, the add-on keeps a small counter in your Google Apps Script user properties: the number of generations you have used today and the date. It also keeps an overall daily count of requests that is not linked to any user. These counters contain no content.
The add-on's diagnostic logs are limited to technical information such as error codes, execution times, and data lengths. They are not intended to contain the text of your prompts, uploaded documents, generated questions, or file names.
Google may process information through its own services and infrastructure, including Apps Script. Such processing is subject to Google's applicable terms and policies.
What the add-on does not access
The add-on does not access:
- Other Google Forms in your account
- Google Drive
- Gmail
- Google Calendar
- Google Contacts
- Other Google services not required for the add-on's functionality
Third-party services
The add-on uses Anthropic's Claude API to generate questions from the content you provide.
No other third-party service is intentionally used to process your form content.
Analytics and advertising
The add-on does not contain advertising or third-party tracking or analytics.
API key
The add-on currently uses a Claude API key provided by the developer.
Users do not need to provide their own API key to use the add-on.
If the add-on's API-key configuration changes in the future, this policy will be updated as appropriate.
Possible future paid plans
Pinkit Forms may offer optional paid plans in the future. If it does, this policy will be updated before any payment-related information is collected, and payments would be handled by a third-party payment provider.
Changes to this policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated when the add-on's functionality, data handling, or third-party services change.
The date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last updated.
